Hey, if you’ve got your site up and running and your first post, post your comment below with your link and I’ll come by and take a look.
Next, to the widgets section of your WordPress “Appearance” panel. Here you’ll notice that you’ll have the option of selecting what items you want to appear in your side bar or anywhere else in your template.
Drag and drop the text boxes – at least one. In this text widget you are now able to add some html for Google Adsense if you like, or links to your favorite photos and so forth.
Experiment with it, you may have to modify the code to center it or what have you, but the most important point is you’re trying and you’re learning.
It took me a heck of a long time to figure out where and what I was doing, because I was lazy and didn’t note down on what pages I put in what code. Go figure.
Anyhow, this is even where you can put up your free Pdf file or your newsletter sign up box, … hey, it’s your blog.
Well gotta head off to the gym … it’s just between here and there that’s the trouble. Like -25.
